The Siren Tree is a dangerous mix of flora and fauna, that most consider it difficult to classify. They tend to grow in the Artaire forest, usually in small glades or groves that become unoccupied by some means. As they age and mature, they form their branches and leaves into such an arrangement as to produce an alluring tune when the wind blows. This usually draws in creatures and people alike, who aren't wary. The tree, having scooped out and replaced portions of the ground around it, will draw things into the pits, whereupon it will put down roots into the victim, taking out nutrients and making it harder to escape its clutches. When they are found, they are generally razed, burning it and a small portion of the woods around to ensure its demise.

          Aiolia
Deep in the old-growth of Aiolian forests lie copses of trees with bark of silver. Azure leaves grace the branches in the spring and summer, but turn crimson and drift to the ground to rot under the snow as autumn arrives. In the winter, the trees will expel all the water from their trunks to prevent their cells from rupturing as the subzero temperatures freeze all liquids. What results is the tree appearing to turn to stone. If one is lucky enough to find this wood and make it past the guardians, they may chip away at the silver bark, where within lies a core of crystal. The color varies from tree to tree, but some find it finer than the gemstones pulled from the dark tunnels beneath the earth. These are highly valued among Aiolia's elite and complete trunks are considered fortunes.

Most Obrexians only really have access to pine nuts as a source of nuts, there is of course plenty of protein from other sources, but most other nuts are relatively unknown.

Whale oil is a popular source of light, when Aiolians can even catch one that is.

After coming back from foreign travels to warmer waters, some druids have come upon the idea to grow reefs around important islands in order to limit angles of approach, so as to protect them better. It would take a good chuck of druidic power to implant these reefs, but comparatively little power to maintain afterwards. They are being provisionally implemented around Lieval Isle, should those tests prove successful, they will be implemented across the realm.

Though he had traveled far, Banno Tasuki was able to make a living off of showing others the cuisine of his home. He had traveled through Aiolia, and ridden along with one of the ships, headed north and west. Passing through Anemos, Ornthas, the S.M.S.C., and finally landing in Obrexia. It was a very different place compared to where he had grown up, but it would do, at least for now. He worked odd jobs until he had enough to cobble together his own noodle cart, and he traveled the isle of the capital, making people happy, and getting plenty of money. His favourite location to set up is outside the markets right out front of the old converted warehouse that hosted them. He usually parked right next to the southern guardhouse, ensuring a steady supply of customers, as well as safety, as no one would mess with the guard's favourite foodman.

The rainforests of the riverlands are rife with mysterious forms and figures calling in the night. The sleek black Guardian hums gently as it hovers above the ground- both a legend and a creature of the forest, it is poorly understood and has given rise to many legends. But it is always watching.

Artrahi, that whom causes truths, offers patronage to those who enjoy the most simple pleasures of life.

They are the cup, its maker, and the one who quaffs to the impermanent delight of the now.

The Stone Hawk was erected after the long dark, in a reaffirmation of belief in what Obrexia stands for, and belief in their leader, Bryson Hawkson.

Aside from the direction of nobility, which is vested in them from the Rulership, people are generally allowed to build and grow in whatever way they please. The land is not seen as something that is held, if it is not being used, it is generally not seen as being owned. Even nobles don't own the land they rest upon, they are simply granted control of the region, which can be taken away at any time.

Most Stailceoir act as top military officials and advisers where needed, the rest are sent on personal missions for the Ruler, or guarding diplomats while abroad. As they are all a master of their chosen weapon, they are never without it if they can help it. Stailceoir have travelled the world, at least, as far as the furthest diplomats have reached, thus far Helios, and more recently Aiolia, nearly spanning the world from end to end. Most interior realms are still much of a mystery to Obrexia as a whole, as is the far north.

Most Obrexian military units have not seen actual combat against an organized enemy. They do however conduct training drills against each other, though the use of blunted weapons is still dangerous. There are plenty of healers on hand to make sure that almost all will make a full recovery from these exercises. They tend to guard locations, mostly against monster attacks, as such, most tend to be stationed at the far north. In other places, smaller regiments would serve as guardmembers, keeping the peace, and being harder to buy out. The regiment stationed in Hawk's Landing is some of the most elite, and they are notoriously staunch in their defense of the Ruler.

Life is fairly easy across Obrexia, the people are more used to prosperous times than not, but they generally turn completely inward during times of crisis. The two plagues in living memory show a good amount more cooperation than one would expect. The current Ruler, Hawkson, has tried their best to improve the lives of his subjects, and most would agree that he has done a great job at it. Founding schools, clearing monsters, pushing back against the darkness. There is however some unease surrounding the fact that he has still yet to choose an heir, though that is mostly relegated to the upper noble houses, who fear that something should happen to the Ruler.

Though they were still growing in population, the Wels Osyatao that had settled in the north took great pride in their natural remedies, as they should. They were exceedingly effective, for many unknown reasons. They were so effective as to get a booming market stall in the cutthroat mercantile district of Hawk's Landing, generally reserved for only the best. They even managed to beat out a good portion of the business that the Healer's University would have seen, but this was seen as a benefit more than anything, as they were more able to focus on bigger injuries, broken bones, severed limbs, the like, instead of sniffles and hay fever. It is rather curious that when provided the same ingredients, even druids of great respect could not recreate a medicine that is better than some Wels produced ones.

Though some of the northern cities were isolated, newly established, or ravaged by recent tribulations, the population has been skyrocketing. More and more farms are established, though there seems to be a neverending horde that pours out from the Underdark. They tend to only go into a frenzy at the sight of living creatures, thus most crops are safe. Livestock must always be put up at night, lest they attract attention. People must shelter indoors, and keep the amount of light and sound they put out to a minimum, but come morning, almost all is safe again. Regiments ride the roads, scouts near constantly on their routes, having been trusted enough to run letters and small parcels between civilization.

Beloved by the public, Sage Alex travelled Obrexia, holding classes for those too poor to normally afford them. He was known for knowing the most trivial of things, and he particularly enjoyed sharing them with others. His efforts were recognized by Ruler Hawkson, who named the school in Hawk's Landing after him.

Most Obrexians are generally able to procure some different kinds of fruit or berry based juices. Apple is commonly found throughout most Obrex settlements, as well as berries, mostly imported from Wooded Point or various Daoine settlements. A fermented grape or berry juice, mixed with a few other ingredients is generally considered wine, but is also often watered down after the ferment and given to some of the older children, though most would generally be allowed to drink full on alcoholic beverages by sixteen.

Though it doesn't occur often, children too can become druids. They are much more fluid in their mindset, leading to a much wider variety of companion that they could get. Particular periods of their life could lead to an encouragement of that mindset, down the line, such as a period of death attracting an ill omen, or puberty, attracting animals of a particular nature.
