Hey! I'm Aelphaba (this is also my discord name, IGN is Nibori) and I'm 28, currently CST. I've been playing Minecraft for a really long time actually, I first picked it up back when it was still in alpha but to be honest I'm also just now coming back from a HUGE break from the game. I have played on other servers before, I usually only had fun in the game when I got to collab on builds or play with friends so the multiplayer experience has always been my favorite thing. Now, of course, everyone I used to play with has loooong stopped playing. Really what I mostly did on those old servers with friends is I would just spend all my time building collections of villages and assorted things like ancient ruins, random NPC housing, etc just a lot of stuff to flesh out a world that basically all my friends were just playing regular ol survival in.
I'd say I have a decent amount of experience when it comes to lore and worldbuilding outside of Minecraft too though. Writing has been a hobby of mine for a long time since I've been roleplaying for ages now. Most of my fantasy worldbuilding experience has centered around RP on MMOs like World of Warcraft, Star Wars the Old Republic, and FFXVII. Although! I know this server isn't really a RP server, just a lore and worldbuilding one which is perfect imo. Outside of writing and gaming though I'm also an artist - I work as a freelance illustrator and in the animation industry.
Here is a little writing snippet about my character Rhosmera. A little different than some of the other introductions I've seen but hopefully the writing style is okay!
Her heartbeat thudded in her head, an erratic rhythm that seemed to thunder louder than ever when she pressed a damp bundle of torn linen to her temple. It was the worst of what she'd scrambled from the tussle with—a mild split of her forehead that had wept worse than she'd ever anticipated but better ruddy cheeks and caked blood thick around her hairline than something stabbing deeper and truer than a hefty artifact glancing off her skull.
It was trust that had done this to her. Blind trust in a childhood friend that had sold her out the moment those silly stacks of scrawled maps and all that ambitious scrounging of old tomes and scrubby leather journals had provided something real and very tangible: the gnarled heart of Nim'Liante. Rhosmera pressed the heel of her palm to her brow, the weight of her angrily beating head slumping into her palm as she groaned. The hollowed cave she'd sought shelter in for the night— a brief stop in her frantic escape —tricked her paranoia wild senses with skittering echoes, her own shuffling noises bouncing back at her in a way that made her jolt regularly.
Dirt remained smudged across her cheeks, her chin scraped from the way she'd been toppled in the attack. There had been no attempt to clean up until right then, some several panicked hours later as she huddled close to the fire she'd eked out while trudging through the snowy woods. Beaten, cold, absolutely famished—it was not all bad, she thought to herself as she plucked the holy petrified wood from her satchel, the texture of it craggy and the color bleached and older than anything she'd seen before. In the center, a deeply colored gem glinted with ominous red as the flickering firelight glinted off of it and danced across the stone ceiling. It was hers. After everything, it was finally hers, and she would hide herself in whatever corners of the world she needed to to keep it that way.
As for some build pictures, like I mentioned I'm just now coming back from a really long break from the game and on a totally new PC as well so I don't have pictures of my older larger builds but I did go ahead and put something together to share with you guys. Hopefully it's enough but if you'd like to see more I can always jump back into creative and throw something else together too. click me!
@aelphaba I'm not even going to wait for bryson to ask his typical questions first. You have my vote immediately. Love this app. Vote 1/5 !!!
Good looking app so far.
Here are the 'typical' questions:
What is/are your favorite colors(s)?
What type of fantasy races are you most interested in?
Do you have a general understanding of progression in this server?
What's your favorite biome to build in?
What's your favorite type of wood in Minecraft?
@aron Hello hello!
- My favorite colors cycle out a lot depending on what I'm feeling art wise but currently I've been leaning hard into bright, saturated shades of blue and yellow. Even when I'm feeling darker shades though I still tend to generally veer towards blue.
- I definitely have a preference for generally non-human races as a whole but more specifically I've always been really fond of elves. Tall? Pointy ears? Love it! Also have a soft spot for dwarves, I just really dig the whole aesthetic attached to them.
- I think so! From what I understand after reading through everything, contributions of builds and lore are what guide your progression, yes?
- I have two actually that I always love to work in: snowy mountain biomes are fun for the way the terrain forces me to think outside of the box and sometimes work more verticle than anything, annnnd I love a good forest biome that gives me an excuse to make my builds look kinda overgrown.
- Love a good bit of spruce wood but I also love getting opportunities to fit birch logs in where I can.
Nice application, you have my vote. 2/5
@aelphaba You get my vote too! 3/5
and mine! great app! 4/5
I also grant a vote 5/5
6/5 not that it's necessary. I just like your app
Congratulations! You have received all required votes for a successful application. The next step will be to have a brief voice interview with the Applications Ministry. Please reach out to @Applications Ministry on the discord to schedule your interview!
After a satisfactory interview, Aelphaba has been accepted into the realms of candarion. Congratulations and welcome! Liege offers may now commence.
I still need to remake my fancy invite letter, but just because I don't have a fancy work of digital art, don't doubt me and the Dwytir!
I formally invite you to join me in the lands of the Dwytir. Are Vampiric Dwarves not enough for you? That's okay, we have elves that speak to the sentient trees. Fancy humans instead? Catch those weirdos on Myralis, always so hungry for power and wealth, and slitting their palms to worship their dead king.... Oh my God! Is that a sacrifice happening over there in New Ascya? Those nutjobs... Gotta provide prosperity for the island somehow.
Oh dear lord a rat person just bit my foot...
Forge your adventure and explore the lands of the Dwytir with me. Here, there is anything and everything to please your every fantasy. Amenities include 4 shulker boxes and a full set of diamond armour upon reaching esquire rank. Full iron will be provided immediately. Communal storage and a beacon mine are available.

Congratulations on achieving the required votes and having your application approved!
After careful consideration, I would like to offer you a home within Credanh.
Located in the furthest western reaches of Candarion, Credanh is an island nation dominated by several powerful clanns. The isle is predominantly plains and oak/birch forests, with hills and marshy swamps in the north.
The primary inspiration for Ella Credanh and its culture is that of the Isle of Man and the Celtic cultures which inhabited the British Isles, with a dash of norse to keep things interesting.
Credanh is a very new realm, with only one settlement at the moment, though several are planned for the near future. This would be a great opportunity for a new player who wants to deep dive in the realm creation process and help shape the lore and culture of the island.
Regardless of who you choose as your liege, I wish you the very best of luck and want to welcome you to the server
You're formally invited to become a vassal of Abijungya! The best realm in Candarion!*
Abijungya is a relatively young realm, so I don't have too many builds to show off, I've started the capital of the human empire one of the merfolk cities, and an elven settlement. But I also plan on building a pirate state, a magic school, and more settlements for the humans, elves, and merfolk. If any of these ideas seem cool to you maybe they could be something you help develop, or maybe you have some other cool ideas. Check out some of the realm's lore on the forums or wiki, you can also ask me any questions you want about the lore, as I have lots of fun ideas that haven't been published yet (I'm ChewyPudding#7060 on Discord).
I'm in California so I'm in PST. I work most days, but am willing to tour/talk about the realm if we can find a time for that to work.
So yeah, I don't have any vassals yet and like I said this realm is still relatively new, so if you want to help shape the course of this realm lemme know, welcome to Candarion! Looking forward to seeing you around.

I'd Like to extend and offer to join in Helios, the Dawn's Land." We are a realm that pride ourselves on vivid story telling and cohesive building. The framework of the Realm is such that stories can come from many avenues and a good story is far more important to me than building without purpose. Hopefully the brief information below, and the more detailed information on the Wiki will peak your interest and you will consider Helios in your search for a realm.
Helios is a land shaped by the brutality of its surroundings, and the protection of the Gods. Helian's are strong and dependable and the very culture is tempered by horrors that would break a lesser peoples. The Six Gods of Helios shape every aspect of life for Helian people. Sol the Chief, Wenna the Goddess of good and light, Lorna the Goddess of dark and secrets, Alkourie the God of war and violence, Omar the God Nature and death, Zayl the God of magic and knowledge.
Helios as a nation was fractured for generations, besieged on all fronts by monsters and violence. Only in the last century have they come together under one banner again. This unification has seen the lands of Helios prosper and grow as trade became safer and more resources could be shared for the common good. None of this could have been done if not for a group of monster slayers known as the Knights Valiant who are blessed by the gods to be holy warriors. If not for them the horrors of the wilds would still be endlessly ravaging the Helian populace. Even with the renewed strength of the Knight Valiant the wilds of Helios are filled with monsters and other horrors and only the strongest and most resourceful have survived through it all.
Expansion looms on the horizon as the Great Houses of Helios finally become fully connected and look to their fractured peoples and crave to bring them together. They have stretched their hands to the far reaches of the world and have left their mark on the land as a nation of strength, determination and wealth, but like anything to do with the warrior Helian's they have also brought their fair share of violence as well.

Your Place in it All
I have always felt that Helios is a framework to tell stories. The grim dark of the land can feed uplifting and terrifying tales. Helios is shaped by it's people, and as such character driven storytelling is something that is paramount. While the general application process has you create a character to plop into a realm, Helios implores you to make a native Helian to explore the world with, rather than an outsider who may supremely struggle with the foreign and brutal landscape. While this isn't required it is something that could help to more easily tell stories within the realm.
Builds. As important as the story telling. The land is sprawling and there are ample opportunities to build both small and large scale projects through out. Helios has several counties that each sport a unique, yet unified build style and culture. You can spend time in one or perhaps branch out to many. There is no set path in Helios and the goal is to get you invested in the realm either through builds or storytelling (ideally both) Those who stay with Helios in the long term are afforded large amounts of creative control over many projects both building and story so there is a fair amount of progression to be had.
Ultimately what mark you leave on the realm is yours to decide and I, and the other Helian's will be here to help you realize that mark. Reach out to me for a tour of the realm and an abridged background.
Thanks everyone! I've decided to join Helios.
