Gestelmore's Application (See The Bastards of Eek-Wai)
Gestelmore watched the horizon as the clouds began to darken into a color reminiscent of the smoke that poured out of the coal stacks around Eek-Wai. The sea, beginning to roil, was so outlandish compared to how he remembered the calm, soothing waters that lapped into the bay where he had worked as a dockhand in his old life. Oh Eek-Wai. How he missed it. Its serene rolling hills, with avenues of towering, mighty spruce that seemed to stretch on for miles. But alas, to continue to muse over a lost city would do him no good. Not now. Not with this forbidding weather approaching their vessel. Gestelmore turned back from his position atop the bow to gaze over his siblings. His younger sister, Ireniec, could still not stop sobbing. He watched as she wiped bits of snot and other bodily fluid onto her cloak as his twin, Gimpfried, comforted her. Gimpfried seemed to be handling this much better than her, he thought to himself.
In their hurry to escape that damned city they had no opportunity to search for their parents, their lovers, or any of their possessions. The only opportunity they had to keep their lives was to take the boat and veer out of the bay into open waters. “Chin up Ireniec”, he shouted back. “We must keep our heading true and we will find sanctuary in these foreign lands soon enough”. As he tried to soothe his sister, the skies darkened even more rapidly overhead. A deep, ominous rumble erupted out towards their position. Gestelmore spun back around, towards the direction of this outburst. Soon enough, streaks of devilish blue lightning raced across the skies, slowing encroaching on their vessel. This was not what I was given to expect of these seas, Gestelmore pondered to himself. As he peered out into night, these thoughts crossing his mind, the storm began to rage even fiercer. He once again turned back to check on his family. As he spun around, suddenly, a burst of light tore through the mast of the ship. Then another towards the second. Gestelmore was tossed from the bow, as water began to rush into the newly open hull. Gestelmore tumbled through the murky waters, trying to regain his surroundings and locate his family. As he tried his damndest to regain his composure, his vision suddenly went black as a sizable section of the hull knocked him unconscious.
When Gestelmore regained consciousness next, he spat and gagged out seawater as he attempted to make sense of his surroundings. His vision, still a blur, was not of much assistance in this. However, as he slowly rose from his prone position, he could feel what appeared to be the touch of sand. He could also hear the lapping of the waves on what would likely be a shore. Finally, his vision began to return to him. He peered out over this bizarre new coastline where he now found himself. As he panned around, he caught glimpses of the strewn hull and other parts of his once proud seafaring vessel. He quickly rose in an attempt to regain what initiative he had left in this situation. As he quickened his pace and drew closer to larger fragments of the vessel, voices drifted across the beach towards his location. As he rounded an exceedingly large chunk of the ship, what he found was the survivors of the voyage. Among them, both Ireniec and Gimpfried. A sigh of relief escaped his lips. Although this was not how they had expected their voyage to go, a vast new land lay out before them. Perhaps, in time, they could bring some semblance of normalcy back. Something similar to what they had in Eek-Wai.
I'm Treyech (IGN: NiceToSquanchYou) and I am a 23 year old college student, currently living in the CST timezone. As far as my history with minecraft goes, I've been playing consistently since the Beta but I've taken breaks here and there. For a lot of the last 5-7 years, I've been playing on other survival or roleplaying servers. As I've been interested in finding another active survival/building/rp server, I was recommended this by some friends that I had been in similar servers with previously.
As far as my role-playing experience goes, I've been playing DnD since about middle school. Haven't had time in the last couple years to play as much as I want, due to college, but I've always been a huge fan of the amount of character/lore/world-building that can be incorporated into it. Due to this experience, I think it's led to me being able to adapt to a variety of different types of role-playing. It also has driven to incorporate a lot of ideas that I've had for various DnD characters or campaigns, into settings like Minecraft. I can really appreciate being able to flesh out a town that I've worked on in DnD in a setting like Minecraft. My hope would be to do something similar, with my friends, in this server.
As far as my plans go, if I were to be accepted into this server, I think I'd like to find an appropriate realm and make a starter town with my friends (Ireniec & Gimpfried). Following this, I may then branch out into pursuing a realm of my own, if time allows it. I still have some ideas from DnD games that I'd like to visualize into a Minecraft setting, and I think (based on what I've seen) that this server would be perfect for that.
Q:) What is/are your favorite colors(s)?
A:) I like a lot of the darker blues, purples, etc. I'm curious about a lot of the new nether blocks and I'd like to incorporate some of those into builds I create in the future.
Q:)What type of fantasy races are you most interested in?
A:) Most likely just humans, elves. I think I'd start with those for now.
Q:)Do you have a general understanding of progression in this server?
A:) Yes, it seems somewhat similar (the ranking system, realms, etc.) to other survival/role-play servers I have been in.
Q:)What's your favorite biome to build in?
A:) In past servers I liked extreme hills, savannah, and jungle biomes. I think for this go I'd be open to other biomes.
Q:)What's your favorite type of wood in Minecraft?
A:) Spruce or Dark Oak.
I've include below some of my old builds, from previous servers, as well as a build I made earlier today with Ireniec.

After careful consideration, I would like to offer you a home within Credanh.
Located in the furthest western reaches of Candarion, Credanh is an island nation dominated by several powerful clanns. The isle is predominantly plains and oak/birch forests, with hills and marshy swamps in the north.
The primary inspiration for Ella Credanh and its culture is that of the Isle of Man and the Celtic cultures which inhabited the British Isles, with a dash of norse to keep things interesting.
Credanh is a very new realm, with only one settlement at the moment, though several are planned for the near future. This would be a great opportunity for a new player who wants to deep dive in the realm creation process and help shape the lore and culture of the island.
Regardless of who you choose as your liege, I wish you the very best of luck and want to welcome you to the server
Kaligos is a land of darkness and monsters. Founded by a Helian expat, Kaligos is a blending of Helian tradition and culture with the native population of Selk. The Six Gods are present among some former Helians, but a new form of magic has been found and intense study is underway! The Selk practice a lifestyle-religion known to outsiders as Selkine, which has a heavy emphasis on beast and nature spirits.
The Shard of Cyrell offers you a place among the ranks of the faithful. Cyrellia is a diverse realm forged for a singular purpose: to bring the many gods and peoples of this earthly plane under a single banner and expel the growing Darkness from this world. All are welcome and may prosper in Cyrellia, so long as they serve the faith.
The gods call you to a higher purpose. Will you answer?
@ikram After putting some thought into it, as well as staying with my lore of being with Gimpfried and Irenic for the time being, I've settled on choosing Cyrellia. However, with this being said, I would greatly appreciate being able to work on any and all co-builds that might be brought forth by all the other wonderful realms that entertained me offers. It seems to be quite a diverse group of builders, so I'm looking forward to the chance of working with you all in the future.
