Slowly, calmly, and with such ease.
He can hear the gentle breeze flowing against the sails. The ropes crackle against their holsters. Tight interlockings keep everything secured, as you feel the ship cradle quite hauntingly from side to side. Murmurs can be heard all throughout the interior. The sound of footsteps can be heard with increasing volume when a loud piece of luggage dropped harshly on the floor above him. Startled, he begins to awaken. Out in the ship’s corridor, he can hear the bustling crowd flooding the entirety of the upper deck. Frantic calls from the crewmen hint at the change of pace from the ship's usual routine. “She’s descending!”
He gathers all belongings. At the corner of the cabin, he carefully inspected the rucksack he had brought along for the journey. It had seen better days. After all, his journey started what felt like ages ago. Ensuring nothing had been tampered with while he was asleep, he took a closer look. A note hanging off the edge can be found. He remembered this note, it had been guiding you all this way with clear instructions as to where to board the ship that he was on. Also in his possession were mere food rations that have gone bad, the water canteen now degraded beyond further use, and a silver compass that had lost it’s red needle. It has been a long time since he started.
Feverous footsteps arrive outside his door. The person behind it begins to frantically knock. “Excuse me sir, we shall be arriving very shortly.” A short pause followed. “Sir? Are you awake?” Before he could answer, grumbling twists and turns can be both heard and felt by his stomach desperately attempting to gain the attention. With all priorities sorted, he began to question the crewmen about the possibilities of acquiring food. “Ah, hungry lads are we? Well there’s a not too shabby tavern just outside the pier. You won’t have any problems finding it once we land.” He can feel his stomach being increasingly adamant. He would ask the crewmen one last question before heading off. “Where are we? Well in the region of Candarion of course! Now I best get going, don’t won’t me mates thinking I’m slacking on the job, again. Well until next time, mister!” He reciprocates them with appreciation, and begins heading off towards one end of the corridor. Upon reaching the ship deck he can smell fresh air once again, and so began the next chapter of his adventure.
My name is David, I am 25 living in the US, and my Minecraft username is RezEcko. Currently I am in Central time but will be moving to the Pacific sometime by the end of the year.
I've been casually playing Minecraft ever since Beta 1.3 of Java Edition, more so on and off. Recently I saw a video the other day where 100 players had to separate into 5 factions and form a civilization which inspired me to play again. After monitoring the reddit forums for a bit I strongly believe Candarion scratches that itch to be part of something larger than myself.
Minecraft to me has always been a hard working endeavor to create something grand with the reward continuing long after it's all done. I enjoy building things to satisfy functional purposes more so than out of personal ambition, and it's because of this I feel very suited being a part of a community that promotes such an amazing infrastructure of ideas and collaborations. With all that being said I very much look forward to interacting with all of you and seeing what we can accomplish together!
My ultimate goal with the character I aim to bring is someone reliable and trustworthy, as I mentioned before I like the grind of gathering resources and supplying towards a common interest. Initially I'll be looking for work somewhere in the Helios or Coghan realms (I have a thing for snowier biomes), or anywhere with a strong administrative structure and flourishing community. I have no other general preferences besides having the mere opportunity to contribute to the ongoing story presented to me.
From a narrative standpoint I find the medieval vibe very appealing, both from a logistical and socio-economic approach. I started a project about a year ago to create lore for one of my discord servers. This server which I've been moderating for the last 3 and a half years plays hosts to a +250 member count since 2017. The idea for the initiative was to have an original iteration of houses that would place members based on their values and personality to an extent. The server has always had a bit of a royal motif in it's upbringing and was eventually rebranded into an academy of magic which I assisted in. I was responsible for creating the official lore of not only these houses but also the world in which they existed and created a fun little survey which reinforced each member into the appropriate category. Upon selection the member would also receive a letter from one of the fictional "professors" who would welcome them.
As for actual roleplay, I've participated in a number of DayZ RP servers and even created content from it which I have uploaded to my channel. One of the characters I played was a courier trying to carry on the duty of his humanitarian unit. Isolated in a world with very limited communication, his most valuable trade was information. In many cases my character had dealings with a number of factions, most of which carried strong rivalries. Most of these servers enforced a perma-death rule as well as zero tolerance for KOS and bad RP. The most enjoyment I found was in the politics of a player driven world and finding myself right in the middle of it. The character carried on as a sort of story-teller on his own, which I also found very rewarding with each near death experience that took place. Although I mention all this as more of an insight for narrative purposes than an actual expectation to roleplay. I am quite happy to just play casually as I've always done Minecraft at the very least.
Candarion has the story driven survival world I've been looking for that appeals to my interest in civilization building. I am absolutely excited, even just by looking at the Charter, at the level of infrastructure and near feudal design this world has to offer! In return I hope to reinforce what has already been established and contribute a very unique set of ideas as both as a character and as a member. To reiterate, I really like what I've seen especially from the Helios and Coghan realms, you guys really have a large capacity for ambition which shows, and you just so happen to be located near snow. I however would be more than welcome to be anyone's vassal given all the seemingly well accomplished realms that exist. I do intend to compliment existing building styles as opposed to my own, do let me know if you have any questions in regards to that.
One final note, I joined the server alongside my girlfriend who is also interested. She has her own experience of story-telling and role playing that would be more than suited to the lore building aspect of things. At the present time she is still working on her own application but trust that you'll find her as like minded as myself. She carries the same preference as I do so in your review of new vassalage I hope you would consider her as well. We got sort of a 2-for-1 deal going on here. Her name is Carly and she goes by the username Squirrel.
Thank you again for taking all the time it took to read as it took me to write, I really do appreciate it and I would be happy to answer any concerns you may have as soon as I can. I will have all my works I've mentioned down below if you're curious to see them, including original work I've made that I'm proud of.
Hey great application, we do have a couple questions! But it a more a formality!
-what's your favorite color ?
-do you understand our vassalage system and the ranking system ?
-have you read the charter ?
What's your favorite fantasy race?
The vassalage system and rank progression are clear to me, as well as everything else in the Charter. At the moment I don't really have a favorite fantasy race but sometimes I like to play as a Half-Orc every now and then as a break from ordinary Human.
My favorite color is somewhere between Royal and Sapphire Blue.
That's a very thorough application you made! I'll give you your first vote! 1/5
Amazing to see the level of research you up into your application Vote 3/5

Will finish you out with 5/5, if you aren't in the discord, join up so we can get a time set for a short voice interview!

Such a great application! Gralewen would be honored to have you as a vassal
Close to spawn and all the farms.
Applicants will receive:
- A full diamond armor
- 32 emeralds
- A perfect pickaxe
here is some of my work so far:
Gralewen, the city on the rock, capital of Leaundeval.
the Hamlet of Cea and its mine.
One of the best applications I've ever seen, welcome Echo!
I would like to humbly extend unto you an invitation to join the far-south realm of Coghan. A nation with plenty of room to explore and rediscover, Coghan is a politically complex city-state which must contend with threats both human and supernatural as they reclaim their birthright and the ashes of their former society, in the wake of the Storm of Erasure.
While not new, Coghan is still somewhat small, and its lore and world still have new horizons to reach–who knows? Maybe you will be the catalyst which sets Coghan's course anew.
Not only this, but Coghan is home to biomes not found anywhere else on the server, and is the only realm which is majorly (in fact, only) snow biomes. If snow biomes are what you are looking for, Coghan would be the best business decision in that regard. I think Coghan would seriously benefit from your lore and building capabilities.
Please don't hesitate to contact me via Discord if you would like more information, photos, a tour, etc. to help inform your decision as you take your first steps into Candarion.
Regardless of your choice of liege, I know you will be in good hands, and hope you enjoy your time on the server!
