Poetry: Dear Mother
-
Pianto Dia Florina is a realm in which children reared in wealthy families often have little to no direct relationship with their parents. Most children of the upper class form their strongest bonds with those paid to care for them. Letters hustled throughout the city have replaced the family dinner, and are the most common form of communication.
Dear Mother,
Those feelings pierced into the feather -
Scratched lies of stanzas avoiding to tell her.Celia,
Timeless recounts trickle onto paper,
And enlarged spirits bemoan in silent disgrace -
And sounds of a steady drum,Dear Mother,
The faintest voice linger to join the choir,
Eager in desire to be heard,
Smothering an honest hum.Celia,
From above the tilted pillar which grew higher,
Sank arrows stained to tip with degrade.Dear Mother.
Two words eager to be heard by the other.
