The Witch blades of Lorna are exceedingly rare and dangerous weapons. They are said to not only harm the flesh but the soul. New ones haven't been made in more than two centuries and most in the modern age believe that the art is lost. Witch blades look to be translucent smokey blades as if it was a type of glass. These weapons are rare because their effect is not permanent, witch blade fade over time and eventually become a normal rusted weapon when their magic is used up.
Creation
With blade are made with the sacrifice of life, more often than not, unwilling. It is unknown how many lives it takes for forge a witch blade but for very powerful or long lasting blades the numbers must be quite high. The foul spell then weaves those lives into the metal of the blade and then it takes on the smoked glass look that is ubiquitous to the weapons.Effect

Sentient beings killed by this weapon do not pass onto the after life
